Page speed checker: Largest Contentful Paint and page weight

Largest Contentful Paint measures how long it takes for the main thing on the page to appear. Google suggests 2.5 seconds or less. ShipPatrol measures it in a real browser.

Why it matters

Slow pages lose visitors before they've seen anything, and page experience is one of the signals Google uses. Heavy pages also cost your visitors' data allowance.

How Patch checks

We measure Largest Contentful Paint and the total bytes transferred while loading your homepage in a desktop browser from a data centre. Real visitors on phones will usually be slower, so treat our number as a best case.

How to fix it

  1. Your homepage took too long to show its main content and transferred a lot of data.
  2. Compress and resize the biggest images, and serve them as WebP or AVIF.
  3. Defer scripts that aren't needed for the first view, and preload the hero image and main font.

Your own report goes further: it names the exact pages, services and settings Patch found on your site, and with a full report you get a fix prompt to paste into Lovable, Bolt or Cursor.
