Image optimisation checker: size, format and width/height

Large images are the most common reason a page is slow, and images without width and height make the page jump around while it loads. ShipPatrol checks both.

Why it matters

Oversized images waste bandwidth and delay the main content. Missing dimensions cause layout shift, which annoys people and is part of Google's Core Web Vitals.

How Patch checks

We measure the size of images your pages load, look for large JPEG and PNG files, and count elements with no width and height.

How to fix it

 1. Convert large JPEG and PNG images to WebP or AVIF and resize them to the size they're shown at.
 2. Add width and height attributes to every .
 3. Add loading="lazy" to images below the fold.

Your own report goes further: it names the exact pages, services and settings Patch found on your site, and with a full report you get a fix prompt to paste into Lovable, Bolt or Cursor.
